Okayti Org. Darjeeling first flush,-
A high quality production, the tea leaves are plucked (as two leaves and a bud), gently withered to remove moisture from the leaves, and retain the fragrance and flavour, rolled and twisted to bring the sap on the surface of the leaf, lightly oxidised to strengthen and retain this flavour, dried to remove all remaining moisture and finally manually sorted to ensure consistency.
This classic Darjeeling first flush is light, bright and lively (brisk), fragrant and floral, with a stimulating astringency and hints of muscatel flavour in the sweet and refreshing aftertaste.
