2009 Ripe Puerh Tea Paste “Cha Gao”

Almost on the verge of disappearing, Pu-erh tea paste used to be the special tribute to the Qing Dynasty imperial court. According to the Supplement to the Compendium of Materia Medica (Wang Jidong, Pu-erh Tea), Pu-erh tea paste is often pitch black; It is best known as antidote to drunkenness.

The ripe puerh paste is made of 2009 fermented Yunnan large leaf material. The fibers are separated from the tea infusion by special processes, and then the liquor is reprocessed until it is condensed into a paste. (with 1kg tea paste needing 10kg of maocha.) Its fragrance is similar to brown sugar, candied dates and puerh tea.

The tea liquor is a deep red with a full, sweet and unique taste.

Dissolving  instantly in water, leaving no sediment in the cup, the strength of the tea is easy to control.
